I haven't had a chance to post in a little while, every time I try to get online something comes up.  Me and Nate built a patio this weekend.  It looks pretty good but a few stones are kind of rocking and not so stable.  I hope it settles in, it took an entire day to complete and was far more work than I had expected.  Nate keeps saying that if it doesn't settle flat we could "just tear it up and try again" because "It only took one day"  but that seems like soooo much work.  I want it to be right though.  We finally caved and threw in our air conditioners.  The threat of 90 degree weather is what convinced us, but we held out a long time, I think.  The garden is slowly overcoming the neighborhood pests.  I only lost one string bean plant and one strawberry plant to those horrible cutworms, and the squirrels are mostly just trying to irritate me, but have as yet failed to do any real damage.  The weeds, though... the weeds are terrible!  I've gotta get some mulch down now that the ground is officially warm.  Well I'm at work right now, and gotta get going.  I'll try to post some pics of the patio asap!

The last few days it was pretty cold out here in Scotia. I got worried about the plants, especially my tomatoes but they seem to have thrived well enough. Today Nate and I picked up all the parts for our new fence. It cost a little more than we were expecting but it will really make the yard allot nicer. The previous owner of the house had divided our yard a little strangely and made it nearly unuseable. The new fence will make the yard allot bigger and leave plenty of room for the hot tub, which is sitting in our yard empty and without power as it has been since we ended up with it this past winter. Nate really looks foward to setting it up. I can't wait to set up the yard and make it pretty. I posted a few pictures from the yard but for now I have to get back to cleaning the house. :)

You guy's'll have to bear with me as I figure all of this stuff out. This is my first website. I dont have myspace or facebook or anything and have never gone on those sites so I am kinda new to all of this stuff. So I guess I'll say a bit about myself. My garden was just planted a bit over a week ago and already one of my tomatoes has flowers. I love my garden. I just put it in this year and it will probably be completely different next year but I love it. I love being outside with my plants, and the wild critters in my neighborhood. I am building a bit of a pagan oasis in my yard. It is slow going, but still going none the less. For now I am happy with the slow planning and the growing things. Nate and I have planned out the fence we are going to put up, but I am afraid all that work will literally go down the drain since it has been raining solidly for a day and a half and the paint has started to wash away. We were going to go out and pick up the fencing materials tonight, but he is asleep in the chair so I doubt thats going to happen. Oh well, we are both tired after working all day, but hey, gotta bring in some money right? Oh well tata for now.
